We have teamed up with Industry Professionals to bring you a Virtual Summer Program featuring classes in Acting, Singing, Dance, Film/TV and more! 

​

This online program will begin June 1 and will offer one class per day, Monday - Friday, with the final class being on June 26. We welcome students age 7+!

​

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

​

MASTERCLASS MONDAY 

Monday @ 11am

Each Monday we will offer a masterclass featuring a different topic. Students will work with industry professionals in the following areas: Dialect Coaching, Self Tape Tips, Commercial TV Audition Coaching, and Hair & Makeup for the Stage. Additional masterclasses may be added to the schedule.

BEGINNER DANCE (no prior dance experience necessary)

Tuesday & Thursday @ 10am

In this fun, nurturing, virtual environment, students will learn the basic fundamentals of dance in areas of ballet, jazz and tap. Students will learn a new combination each week and will receive videos of each combination to rehearse on their own time throughout the program. No matter what level you consider yourself as a dancer, this beginner level dance class is about going back to touch up on your foundation.

ADVANCED DANCE (dance experience not required but recommended)

Tuesday & Thursday @ 2pm

In this advanced-level dance class, students will learn a new combination each week, reviewing each new dance at the end of the week. Featuring choreography in both jazz, tap, and musical theatre dance. Students will receive videos of each combination to rehearse on their own time throughout the program.

VOCAL TECHNIQUE

Wednesday @ 10am

Need to find a new audition song? Do you have a go-to audition song that needs coaching? Are you a vocalist just looking for new material? This is the class for you! Students will begin coaching on a song of their choice, and then receive new material suggestions from the instructor. Students will work on connecting the meaning of your words to the vocal lines focusing not just on the sound of your voice, but also the story you are telling through song.

KIDS FITNESS

Wednesday @ 12pm

This class is for your active kiddos who need to burn off some energy! The instructor will lead them through a 30 minute calorie-burning, dance-party workout! No equipment required, just a FUN attitude and LOTS of energy! These classes will be easy to follow as students are guided through a variety of exercises that encourage kids to stretch, do cardio moves, and more!

ACTING TECHNIQUE

Friday @ 10am (with the exception of June 5 when class will be at 6:30pm)

This class will focus on building stage presence, acting techniques, and ways to bring out what makes you unique as a performer. Each week, you will receive an email with a scene or monologue to prepare. (You will choose from a variety of options.) During class, the students will work together to break down techniques within these pieces. Each student will have the opportunity to apply what they are learning and receive individual feedback on the material.

5 CLASS PACKAGE - $300

(5 hours per week)

This package guarantees a spot in 5 classes per week.

3 CLASS PACKAGE - $240

(3 hours per week)

This package guarantees a spot in 3 classes per week.

You choose which 3 classes your student would like to participate in.

DROP IN CLASSES - $25 per class

WHITNEY BRANAN

Advanced Dance

Whitney Branan was the resident tap coach for the Broadway show Billy Elliot and two of its national tours. Whitney has worked across the country (Bally’s Casino in Las Vegas) and across the ocean (three award-winning trips to the International Fringe Festival). As a director and choreographer, Whitney created and staged the choreography for a new world-premiere musical called Changing Minds for Theatrical Rights Worldwide in NYC. She also directed and choreographed four new musical productions for the American Queen, the largest luxury paddle boat in the world.  Favorite local director/choreographer credits include Oklahoma!, Disney’s The Lion King Jr,  Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Camelot, Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Hello, Dolly!, and Junie B. Jones: The Musical.

CLAIRE CLAUSON

Dialect Coach

Claire Clauson, native to South St. Paul, Minnesota, is a graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato with a BFA in Musical Theatre. Claire has performed all over America, including Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, South Carolina, Memphis, Washington D.C., and New York City. In addition to performing, Claire loves working in the costume shop and coaching dialects. She was the dialect coach for the Regional Premiere of Once at Playhouse on the Square.  Some of her favorite credits include Wait Until Dark (Susan), Junie B. Jones the Musical (Junie B.), Oklahoma! (Ado Annie), Perfect Arrangement (Millie) and Catch Me If You Can (Brenda Strong).

BRET KROCK

Talent Agent (Colors Agency)

Bret Krock is a Memphis-based talent agent who has cast regional actors in feature films, TV shows, commercials, and training videos. Since joining Colors Agency in 2012, he has booked actors in such tv and film projects as Bluff City Law, Logan Lucky, Better Call Saul, Brian Banks, Uncorked, Nashville, Sun Records, and many more.  In his spare time, Bret enjoys hanging out with his family and recording music.

CAROLINE MURRAH

Acting & Vocal Technique

Caroline Murrah is a vocal coach in NYC who works with students ranging from beginners to Broadway professionals. She is currently earning her Masters in Speech Language Pathology from Emerson College to treat performers who have sustained vocal injuries.

MADDIE PARRISH

Beginner Dance & Kids Fitness

Maddie Parrish is a professional dancer and teacher based in New York City. Originally from Nashville, Maddie is a graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts.Previously, Maddie toured domestically and internationally with the Manhattan based modern dance company, Parsons Dance.  Most recently, she performed in the Broadway National Tour of Finding Neverland as Peter Pan.
